Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2010 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist/Modern Evening Sale, which included the work La gitane by Kees van Dongen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,097,250.00 (€ 7,917,642.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,500,000.00 – 7,500,000.00. Other works by Kees van Dongen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October this year the work La Quiétude was auctioned for GBP 10,775,000.00 (€ 12,372,693.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist/Modern Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La gitane von Kees van Dongen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.097.250,00 (€ 7.917.642,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.500.000,00 – 7.500.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Kees van Dongen konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres die Arbeit La Quiétude für GBP 10.775.000,00 (€ 12.372.693,51) versteigert.
