Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Extent by Kenneth Noland was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,075,000.00 (€ 2,865,529.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kenneth Noland have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Rocker was auctioned for USD 4,255,000.00 (€ 3,489,421.03).
