Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lee Friedlander could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Aspen, 1972 changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,348.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Friedlander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Little Screens in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 850,000.00 (€ 761,512.27).
