In October 2017 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne, which included the work La Poupée (Marquis) by Léon Spilliaert. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 17,500.00 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Spilliaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende in March last year with an auction result of EUR 504,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Poupée (Marquis) von Léon Spilliaert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 17.500,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Spilliaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 504.000,00.
