Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Jeune femme asiatique by Foujita. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,826.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune femme asiatique von Foujita zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.826,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
