A top price for Lim Tze Peng
When the work Singapore River Scene by Lim Tze Peng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 380,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 141,588.62). This high result makes Singapore River Scene the most expensive artwork by Lim Tze Peng that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Singapore River Scene von Lim Tze Peng im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 380.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 141.588,62) mehr als dreimal so hoch.
