Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La maison dans le jardin fleuri by Louis Valtat was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 100,000 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 107,100 (€ 93,603). Admittedly, works by Louis Valtat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madame Valtat et son fils in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 726,650.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La maison dans le jardin fleuri von Louis Valtat kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 100.000 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 107.100 (€ 93.603) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Valtat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madame Valtat et son fils im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 726.650.
