Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Concetto spaziale, Attese by Lucio Fontana for EUR 2,218,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Avant-Garde(s) Including Thinking Italian at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,173,000.00 (€ 27,620,715.77).

Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Concetto spaziale, Attese von Lucio Fontana für EUR 2.218.000,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Avant-Garde(s) Including Thinking Italian bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Fontana erzielen.
