Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Brow of The Hill by Lucy Kemp-Welch was sold in the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,807.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucy Kemp-Welch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cart horses on the Downs, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 37,045.00 (€ 57,300.23).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.807,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
