Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Theatrical study by Lucy Kemp-Welch. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 360.00 (€ 535.34), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucy Kemp-Welch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cart horses on the Downs in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 37,045.00 (€ 57,300.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Theatrical study von Lucy Kemp-Welch zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 535,34) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucy Kemp-Welch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cart horses on the Downs im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.045,00 (€ 57.300,23).
