Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Irene con Sombrero de Mariposas by Manolo Valdés. The price achieved of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 118,348.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manolo Valdés have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Infanta Margarita in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Irene con Sombrero de Mariposas von Manolo Valdés zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 118.348,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Infanta Margarita im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24).
