Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les mariés au cirque by Marc Chagall was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Sydney in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 327,600.00 (€ 300,330.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les mariés au cirque von Marc Chagall wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 300.330,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
