The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,258.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mathieu Matégot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chaise 'Papillon', 1954 in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 206,250.00.
