Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Avant Le Départ by Maurice Brianchon. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,810.36), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Brianchon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Digue de Saint-Jean-De-Luz, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 165,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Avant Le Départ von Maurice Brianchon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.810,36) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Brianchon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Digue de Saint-Jean-De-Luz beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 165.600,00 versteigert wurde.
