Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rue du Mont-Cenis à Montmartre by Maurice Utrillo was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 88,597.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Utrillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Paravent De Maurice Utrillo, 1939 in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 835,540.00.

Die Arbeit Rue du Mont-Cenis à Montmartre von Maurice Utrillo wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 88.597,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Utrillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Paravent De Maurice Utrillo, 1939 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 835.540,00.
