Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maxime Maufra achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2019. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work La Marne à Champigny sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,392.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxime Maufra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Vent , which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maxime Maufra erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit La Marne à Champigny für USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.392,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxime Maufra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Vent beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08) versteigert wurde.
