Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Christies in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Two Barns, Dansville, New York, 1955 by Minor White. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Minor White have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Photographs From 'Sequence 15' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 44,812.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Barns, Dansville, New York, 1955 von Minor White zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Minor White auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Photographs From 'Sequence 15' im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 44.812,50).
