Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in New York held the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online, which included the work Marina - A Purple Morning by Mr.. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,820.00 (€ 1,066.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 4,656,652.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marina - A Purple Morning von Mr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 8.820,00 (€ 1.066,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 4.656.652,17).
