Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Christies in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Yogo and C putting on make-up, Second Tip, Bangkok, 1992 by Nan Goldin. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,820.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nan Goldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yogo and C putting on make-up, Second Tip, Bangkok, 1992 von Nan Goldin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.820,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nan Goldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
