A top price for Nicolas Ionesco - as previously expected
In July 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included this untitled work by Nicolas Ionesco. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,764.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Nicolas Ionesco that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nicolas Ionesco zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 1.764,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nicolas Ionesco, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
