Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thaw by Nigel Cooke was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,482.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nigel Cooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stumpy'S Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 262,000.00 (€ 238,311.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Thaw von Nigel Cooke kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.482,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nigel Cooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stumpy'S Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.000,00 (€ 238.311,81).
