Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Virtue In Vice - Rachel / 24 / St. Andrew’S Roman Catholic Church, September 4, 1997 by Noritoshi Hirakawa for EUR 1,750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online | Milan at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Noritoshi Hirakawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Virtue In Vice in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 24,000.00 (€ 16,878.82).
