Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper, which included the work Die Russin by Oskar Kokoschka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oskar Kokoschka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Joseph De Montesquiou-Fezensac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 20,395,200.00 (€ 18,012,187.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Die Russin von Oskar Kokoschka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oskar Kokoschka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Joseph De Montesquiou-Fezensac im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.395.200,00 (€ 18.012.187,58).
