Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kiki De Montparnasse by Pablo Gargallo was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 81,900.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pablo Gargallo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 490,896.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kiki De Montparnasse von Pablo Gargallo kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 81.900,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pablo Gargallo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 490.896,00.
