Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Christies in London held the auction Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions, which included the work History by Patrick Hughes. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,015.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Hughes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For The Venice Biennale in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 98,500.00 (€ 133,758.27).
