Sold at the lower estimate price
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Nature morte au compotier by Paul Gauguin. The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 136,128.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Gauguin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternité II in November last year with an auction result of USD 105,730,000.00 (€ 102,421,776.62).
