Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Loliondo Lion Charge (for 'The End of the Game'), 1964 by Peter Beard was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in June this year. The price achieved of EUR 21,420.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Beard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphaned Cheetah Cubs, Mweiga, near Nyeri, Kenya, March 1968 in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 672,500.00 (€ 577,352.34).
