Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Some Thames – Group M, 1999–2000 by Roni Horn. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,493.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roni Horn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 324,547.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Some Thames – Group M, 1999–2000 von Roni Horn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.493,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roni Horn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 324.547,09).
