Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asia+ / First Open, which included the work Work No. 5 of Year 2005 by Shao Fan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,022.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shao Fan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shanshui Hare in May last year with an auction result of HKD 2,394,000.00 (€ 284,219.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asia+ / First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Work No. 5 of Year 2005 von Shao Fan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.022,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shao Fan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shanshui Hare im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.394.000,00 (€ 284.219,18).
