Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Sigmar Polke for GBP 478,800.00 (€ 557,240.77). This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigmar Polke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dschungel (Jungle) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 27,130,000.00 (€ 24,677,096.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sigmar Polke für GBP 478.800,00 (€ 557.240,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sigmar Polke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dschungel (Jungle) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.130.000,00 (€ 24.677.096,60).
