Upper estimate price exceeded by 53 %.
In December 2007 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art Sale, which included the work M.A by Simon Hantaï. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 276,250.00 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Hantaï achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work M.A.4 (Mariale) in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 4,432,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit M.A von Simon Hantaï zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 276.250,00 und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Hantaï erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit M.A.4 (Mariale) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.432.500,00.
