Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'Poolside Glamour', January 1970 by Slim Aarons was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,080 (€ 11,728). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Slim Aarons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poolside Gossip, 1970, which sold at auction in April this year for USD 40,320 (€ 38,265).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Poolside Glamour', January 1970 von Slim Aarons kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.080 (€ 11.728) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Slim Aarons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poolside Gossip, 1970 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für USD 40.320 (€ 38.265) versteigert wurde.
