Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Gymnastics by Thierry Bouet was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 829.74). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thierry Bouet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tough Day: Weight Lifting, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 27,500.00 (€ 2,797.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Gymnastics von Thierry Bouet im Juni 2011 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 750,00 (€ 829,74) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thierry Bouet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tough Day: Weight Lifting beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 27.500,00 (€ 2.797,27) versteigert wurde.
