This artwork by Tschabalala Self achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in February 2020. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Spare Moment sold for GBP 212,500.00 (€ 246,287.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tschabalala Self - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Princess, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 435,000.00 (€ 504,165.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tschabalala Self erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Spare Moment für GBP 212.500,00 (€ 246.287,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tschabalala Self mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Princess beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 435.000,00 (€ 504.165,99) versteigert wurde.
