In the IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN WORKS ON PAPER auction, the work Collage sold for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 21,410.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Varvara Fedorovna Stepanova achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure With Guitar in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,062,220.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Varvara Fedorovna Stepanova erzielte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN WORKS ON PAPER wurde die Arbeit Collage für GBP 14.340,00 (€ 21.410,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Varvara Fedorovna Stepanova erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure With Guitar im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 2.062.220,78).
