Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Resting Cloud' by Victor Skrebneski was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,809.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Victor Skrebneski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bette Davis, Los Angeles in July 2021 with an auction result of USD 30,240.00 (€ 25,488.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Resting Cloud' von Victor Skrebneski kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.313,00 (€ 3.809,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Skrebneski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bette Davis, Los Angeles im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 25.488,87).
