This artwork by Wang Du achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June 2007. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Youth with Slingshot sold for GBP 57,600.00 (€ 85,475.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Du - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No Comment, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Du erzielte im Juni 2007 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Youth with Slingshot für GBP 57.600,00 (€ 85.475,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Du mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No Comment beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94) versteigert wurde.
