It achieved a price of CNY 2,160,000.00 (€ 274,822.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Guangle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work TERRAZZO NO. 12, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 4,860,000.00 (€ 592,223.48).

Die Arbeit 90917 von Wang Guangle wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CNY 2.160.000,00 (€ 274.822,65) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit TERRAZZO NO. 12 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 4.860.000,00 (€ 592.223,48) versteigert wurde.
