This artwork by Wenda Gu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work The Mythos Of Lost Dynasties Series sold for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 85,652.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 450,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wenda Gu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wenda Gu erzielte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit The Mythos Of Lost Dynasties Series für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 85.652,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 450.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wenda Gu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
