The »bidding war« ended at CNY 237,500.00 (€ 31,009.58), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenda Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).

Die Arbeit Lost Dynasties J Series D #5 von Wenda Gu wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 237.500,00 (€ 31.009,58) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenda Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
