Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Evening Sale, which included the work Unique 'Ghost Rider' rocking chair by Wendell Castle. The price achieved of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 152,320.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Other works by Wendell Castle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Unique three-seater sofa was auctioned for GBP 225,000.00 (€ 256,251.04).

Im November 2016 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unique 'Ghost Rider' rocking chair von Wendell Castle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 152.320,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Wendell Castle konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2018 die Arbeit Unique three-seater sofa für GBP 225.000,00 (€ 256.251,04) versteigert.
