Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Trashstone 519" by Wilhelm Mundt was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 100,000.00 – 125,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 80,000.00 (€ 7,867.00). Other works by Wilhelm Mundt have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2016 by the work Trashstone 286 at EUR 13,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Trashstone 519" von Wilhelm Mundt im April 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 100.000,00 – 125.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 80.000,00 (€ 7.867,00) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Mundt wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2016 die Arbeit Trashstone 286 mit EUR 13.125,00.
