Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 7,485.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Saunders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wood-covered photo albumen prints, ca 1870, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 31,325.00 (€ 26,605.23).
