Auction result well in line with expectations
The work carciofo by Wolfgang Tillmans was sold in the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of USD 5,440.00 (€ 4,936.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit carciofo von Wolfgang Tillmans wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.440,00 (€ 4.936,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
