(40.5 x 27.5cm.) sheet: 16 x 12in. (40.5 x 30.5cm.) overall: 17 3 ⁄ 8 x 13 3 ⁄ 4 in. (44.2 x 35cm.) Executed in 1999, this is work is number four of an edition from ten plus one artist's proof
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work shooting cloud by Wolfgang Tillmans was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in Paris in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,350.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit shooting cloud von Wolfgang Tillmans wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.350,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
