Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Day Sale, which included the work Buddha'S Warrior N.D.-2 by Yan Pei-Ming. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Pei-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pape in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,026,850.00 (€ 1,297,972.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buddha'S Warrior N.D.-2 von Yan Pei-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Pei-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pape im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.850,00 (€ 1.297.972,83).
