Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work WWW.ARTWORLD.XXX by Yason Banal was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 1,375.00 (€ 159.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yason Banal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ARTWORLD.XXX in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,338.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit WWW.ARTWORLD.XXX von Yason Banal im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 1.375,00 (€ 159,47) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yason Banal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ARTWORLD.XXX im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.338,62).
