Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Butterfly by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 165,100.00 (€ 19,965.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Butterfly von Yayoi Kusama kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 165.100,00 (€ 19.965,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
