Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-portrait by Yayoi Kusama was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,904.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self-portrait von Yayoi Kusama wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.904,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
