Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Child Mannequin) by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2014. The price achieved of GBP 122,500.00 (€ 156,414.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Child Mannequin) von Yayoi Kusama kam im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 122.500,00 (€ 156.414,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
